HAMPTON PROJECT

This house looked a lot different before we got our hands on it. Run down, packed with junk, walls and ceilings falling down, floors crumbling, and abandoned (check out the "before" photos below).

We jumped at the chance to work on restoring her to her original beauty. This 1930's doll needed some serious love, and there wasn't a square inch we didn't touch. Historic homes are our favorite to work on, so we try to keep as many original elements as possible - in this one we were able to keep the front door, original slate floor in the entry and sun room, as well as the tile floor in the basement. The kitchen needed to be completely reimagined, and opened up to function for a modern-day family. We also opened up and finished the attic space to create more space for a college student or Au Pair. Windows, roof, floor, exterior walkways, and everything in between - you name it, we polished it up and let it shine. Talk about a glow-up!

The biggest transformation here has to be the primary suite. The bedroom got a much needed facelift, from the new custom fireplace, restored floors, and a soft wall color. The original bathroom was an awkward Jack-and-Jill shared by another bedroom, which just isn't practical for a 21st century family. We used the space from the adjacent bedroom and created a retreat with a spa-like bathroom and large walk-in closet. Believe it or not, this was a flip-house! It was staged to sell by our team and the team at Staged Detroit.
